Dyed Deviled Eggs

Level:Easy

Time: 30 minutes

Cost: Under $5

One of the things we think about around Easter is dyed eggs! Well here's new spin on egg dying, dyed deviled eggs! They are fun and colorful and the perfect edition to any brunch.

What you'll need:

6 Hardboiled Eggs

1/4 Cup Mayonnaise

1 teaspoon Mustard

1 teaspoon Vinegar (we used apple cider, but white vinegar works great too)

Paprika for garnish

Food Coloring of choice

4 Small Bowls with 1 cup water in each

Small Mixing Bowl

Fork

Instructions:

First, add food coloring to your water bowls. We used 7 drops for each cup of water to ensure vibrant colors.

Now peel your hard boiled eggs.

Cut them in half, lengthwise and scoop the yolks into your small mixing bowl then pace the white halves on a tray and add one tablespoon vinegar to each coloring bowl.

Now you're ready to dye your eggs! Carefully place your egg white halves into the coloring liquid and ensure they are fully submurged unless you want only partial dyes which can be fun too:)

Add your 1/4 cup mayo, 1 teaspoon mustard, 1 teaspoon vinegar to your yolks in the small mixing bowl and mash together with your fork, add salt and pepper to taste. At this point you'll want to check your egg white halves to see if they are their desired color, if they are, take them our and place them on a paper towel to dry. We took ours out of the coloring liquid after about 10-15 minutes.

At this point you're ready to carefully spoon the yolk mixture (about 2 teaspoons each) into the halves and garnish with paprika.

Tada! Adorable deviled eggs! These fun and tasty treats are sure to be a hit. Let us know if you make your own batch by leaving us a picture or comment!
