Napkin Bows

Difficulty:Easy

Time:Depends on number of bows, approx. 2 bows per minute

Cost:Under $5

So it's Wednesday again and we'd like to share a simple way to spruce up your next gathering, be it a birthday, Cinco De Mayo, Mother's Day, gradutation, or the like!

What you'll need:

Paper Towel Roll-the pick-a-size (or similar) sheet size work best (we use Brawny)

Raffia Ribbon (or other ribbon to tie) in the color(s) of your choice

Scissors- to cut the ribbon

What to do:

Make a stack of the number of paper towels you'll be needing.

Cut that same number of ribbon in a length long enough to tie a bow around your paper towels. 12" lengths worked well for us.

Take a single paper towel from your stack and fold it in thirds (psuedo "hamburger" fold).

Now pinch in the center to mimick a fold in half length wise (It's a pseudo "hot dog fold" here people).

Now you're going to fold the edges back down to meet the original pinch.

Pinch tight and this crease should hold well enough for you to release the paper towel and grab a strip of ribbon to tie your bow.

Help the folds back in to place if need be before tightening the ribbon tightly around the middle of the paper towel bow.

Tie your ribbon in a bow so it's easy for your guests to untie and use their napkin.

And there you have it, a simple, yet eye catching way to heighten your event and engage your guests.

Please let us know in the comments if you've made these for one of your events. We'd love to see photos!
